See the title, Black Monday. For some people, it might carry the meaning of an awful Monday cos the word black normally signifies bad. But for this, it is the opposite way round. It means the first day of school after week or weeks of holidays and it is a good Monday. My day isn't a black Monday. Here's why:-
Assembly was on this morning. I was the flag raiser with Saras. There were two flags originally needed to be raised. Before the assembly, the flag dropped off with the string, if that's what we call. So, I was raising the M'sia flag instead. Unfortunately, the flag reached the top of the pole when the song was playing halfway through.
A friend of ours fainted in the assembly ground. So, Saras and I took care of her till her dad came. She called her home and I fanned her. Saras called without knowing what her mom said through the phone. All the teachers asked the same line, "What's wrong with her?". We answered, "She's got fever." They questioned back, "Then, you should rest at home." The same conversation took place for more than six times.
After that, we went back to class to continue with our intensive revision. The Form 5s having them also *applause*. After checking all the answers, Pn Tan entered the class, saying that we had to complete all the modules, a total of thirteen sets before PMR. She asked me to take charge of the modules and I had to run back and forth to get the papers.
Ten minutes before the school ended, I said, "Oh shit. Saras, have we took down the flag?". Saras' eyes bulged and said, "No." So, we rushed down to Pn Tan's room to check on the flags. Coming out from her room, we ran to English Garden and found it was there, all soaked. We left the flag to be dried in her air-conditioned room.
After school, it started to rain heavier than it was earlier. So, I waited for my mum at second porch till around 2.30 pm. During that time interval, I went around with Shu Yao, who was practically all soaked. She claimed that my fingers are longer than what usual people have.
This will be my last post till next week. So, all the best to my Form 3 friends. For the Form 5s, enjoy your school life before leaving the school and good luck for SPM.
